Welcome to Mrs. Chambers's 6th and 7th Grade Math Classes!!!
My name is Mrs. Chambers, and I am very excited to be teaching 6th and 7th grade Mathematics at Newton Middle School in Newton, Texas, for the upcoming school year. My goal is to present math in a fun and interactive way, aimed at helping your child understand the role that math plays in our everyday lives. So, welcome to the new school year, and I hope to meet you soon!
Hooray for Math!
Well, hi there!
A bit about me: I grew up in Woodville, Texas, and am a graduate both of Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas, and Lamar University in Beaumont. I have been married for 12 years, and have two young daughters (4 and 7 years old).
My attitude about math is: Math matters! Math is involved in most every daily action of our lives. Learning the process of problem-solving is just as important as getting the right answer. This year, we will be tackling some tough problems...BUT that doesn't mean it can't be fun too.
You, as a parent, will be able to view our assignments weekly on our WIKI page found at this web address.
